Mission
To build community, and to work on technology that helps people lead better lives.
Current role
I'm Director of AI Teammates Engineering at Asana, leading 23 engineers across three teams working on Asana's AI agent product. It's a manager-of-managers role – I work through team leads rather than owning an IC scope directly.
I took on AI Teammates in October 2024, before the product reached general availability. Together with the team leads, we narrowed the launch scope to focus on reliability and core capabilities, and the product shipped on time.
I'm also responsible for Asana's vendor relationships with model providers, including Anthropic, OpenAI, and Mistral.
Before AI Teammates, I led the AI Retrieval team, growing its RAG work from a single search feature into a shared platform used across Asana's AI features.
Career Highlights
I began my career in politics, including work on the digital team for the Obama-Biden Transition Project, where I helped launch the new WhiteHouse.gov. From there, I joined Weber Shandwick, helping clients translate complex policy and technology topics into plain-language digital strategy.
In 2015, I shifted to engineering full time – first at Shift, a car marketplace startup, where I was an early engineer and later an engineering manager. Since 2019, I’ve been at Asana, where I led the AI Retrieval team before moving into the Director role for AI Teammates in 2024.
